Is Tripsbetter an airline ?
No, Tripsbetter is not an airline. We are an accommodation provider, a car hire provider and tour operator offering experiences. We are a search engine and an authorized ticketing platform for domestic airlines in East Africa as well as an online booking site for accommodation, car hire and experiences so you can build your complete holiday itinerary right here online with us.
Rates i can select resident and international rates ?
You are a resident if you hold a current resident permit or are a citizen of the country you are flying in. This is an official document (usually recorded in your passport) confirming your status as a resident. If you do not have proof of residency, you must select international traveller. Please see the Resident Information Page for more information here.
Travel to /from a destination, but not found?
If the destination you want to travel to / from is not listed as an option, it means that the airlines do not fly there. Tripsbetter only shows the destinations available. Note that some routes are seasonal. Please contact us to arrange a charter flight here .
The specific airline, but it is not coming up?
If the airline doesn’t show in the search results, it means it doesn’t fly to your destination. Go to our Airline pages, select your chosen airline and see their routes and schedules.

When you receive a booking confirmation email and itinerary from Tripsbetter notifying you that your booking has been accepted and your payment has been processed, it is your responsibility to carefully check and correct any mistakes in any of the documentation received via Tripsbetter from the airlines, the accommodation providers, the car hire companies, and experience providers.
When and how will I receive my ticket?
It will be emailed to you shortly after we receive your payment.
When do I check in and at which terminal?
Airlines recommend the following standard check-in times: Domestic flights: 1 hour prior to departure International flights: 3 hours prior to departure Flights to and from the USA: 3 hours prior to departure is recommended To find out which terminal you depart from and arrive in, please refer to the airline’s website.
How much luggage can I take with me?

Do I need a passport and visa for my trip?
You will need a passport for regional and international travel. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after your return and some countries require that you have at least one blank page in your passport. Not complying with these rules will most likely cause the airline to deny you boarding. As visa regulations differ from country to country, please call the respective embassy directly. Please check with every relevant embassy as per your itinerary about their visa regulations. Please note that certain countries will require a visa even if you are only transferring in that country.
