Nungwi is a village at the northern end of the Tanzanian island of Unguja, familiarly called Zanzibar. It’s known for the wide, palm-lined Nungwi Beach and a nearby boat-building yard for the production of traditional dhows.
The Mnarani Marine Turtle Conservation Pond shelters green and hawksbill sea turtles in a tidal lagoon. Off the coast, coral reefs teeming with colourful fish include Hunga and Leven Bank.
One major beach destination on the island is Nungwi Beach situated at the north-western tip of the island. It is home to powdery white sand, crystal blue waters, and exotic flora and fauna. The beach’s famous for its white sands and beautiful, clear turquoise waters. It’s a pure pleasure to walk up and down the beach.

Picked up from the hotel and drive to Spice plantation center where you will be roaming through the fragrant spice plantations of Zanzibar and breathe in the scent of an infused past. Led by a friendly and professional guide, get exclusive insight into the farms of this 3-hour tour. Nowadays the plantations are à tribute to the island’s colonial past. This is an excellent chance to learn about the turbulent history of the island.
After the spice tour, you will drive for a guided tour to Stone Town, your guide will introduce you to all the buildings of interest and famous viewpoints. Stone town and its buildings are full of history and stories of the old times of Zanzibar, during the Sultans (Arabs), Europeans, and Missionaries.

After breakfast drive will take you to Fumba Village, where you will hop on a traditional how boat to sail to the breathtaking Minai Bay home to a cluster of beautiful, uninhabited islands.
Once you reach the destination, the dhow boat will be anchored in an idyllic spot, allowing you to swim around the island, snorkel along the rich coral reefs, spot the frolicking dolphins or explore the pristine islets.
Your day will have interrupted mouth-watering buffet lunch on Kwale Island, where you can tuck into succulent calamari, freshly grilled fish, huge lobster, and juicy tropical fruits under the shade of massive tamarind trees.
After a fantastic day out in the sun, you will return to Fumba Village on a lantern sail back.
